Big news for Brit holidaymakers who want travelling to Turkey…
Now, the travelers that arriving in the UK after 4 am on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, must self-isolate for 14 days. And the tourists who come back from Poland and the Caribbean islands of Bonaire, St Eustatius, and Saba must also quarantine.
The Transport Secretary of Turkey, Grant Shapps made the announcement on Thursday, October 1, 2020, through his Twitter account,
He tweeted: “The latest data indicates we need to remove Turkey, Poland, and Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba from the #TravelCorridor list this week. This means if you arrive from these destinations from 4 am Saturday 3 October, you will need to self-isolate.”
The penalties for people who refuse to self-isolate are to be increased to a maximum of £10,000 for repeat offenders.
The same statement also revealed by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca that admitted the word “patients” means those who had tested positive and had symptoms of coronavirus.
As cited News24xx.com from the Financial Times, the country has recorded nearly 320,000 cases and more than 8,000 deaths.
