Tragic, a boy has been found dead after he failed to return home from a trip to a corner shop. His corpse was stuffed in a box.
The four-year-old boy named Thapelo Monageng had reported missing on Friday morning in Ikhutseng, Warrenton, South Africa by his family to police after failed to return home.
Then, with officers and his families they launching a massive search effort, but, they had discovered his lifeless body on Friday night. He had suffered multiple stab wounds to the body.
His family said the boy left his home to go to a local tuck-shop at about 11am and did not return home.
And Monageng was found in the home of a 36-year-old man, who has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to reports.
Captain Fourie of Warrenton SAPS (South Africa Police Service) said, that the boy was reported missing by the family at the local police station.
The boy’s uncle Andrew Sala told SABC News: “We feel very sad because he was a very sweet child.”
The arrested man is due to appear in Warrenton Magistrate’s Court today. And a post-mortem underway.
