After plays superheroine Wonder Women in Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman in 2017, now, the beautiful actress Gal Gadot has confirmed that she’s set to portray Cleopatra in her new movie.
The 35-year-old actress tells the story of the ancient Egyptian ruler in her Twitter account.
She tweeted: “I love embarking on new journeys, I love the excitement of new projects, the thrill of bringing new stories to life. Cleopatra is a story I wanted to tell for a very long time. Can’t be more grateful about this A-team!”
As cited News24xx.com from Deadline, the Paramount Pictures film is based on a script penned by Laeta Kalogridis.
And the massive budget on the film almost led to 20th Century Fox going bankrupt.
In 1963, Elizabeth Taylor starred in Cleopatra, which won four Oscars. It became the highest-grossing film of that year, earning US$57.7 million at the box office in the US and Canada.
