A 10-month-old baby named Nick Torres died, just hours after he was taken home by his parents from Texas Children’s Hospital.
Initially, the little boy was found unconscious in a bath at home last month and rushed to the hospital.
Then, after the examination of the doctors was declared that he suffered brain dead.
Then, the hospital said from the medical evaluations agreed to release the boy into his parents’ care on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020.
And they also urged “complete cessation of all spontaneous brain activity”
The desperate parents Mario and Ana Patricia took this case to court in a bid to keep him hooked up to a ventilator.
But, the Texas appeals court on Friday denied an emergency appeal filed by Nick’s parents as they argued that Nick was alive because his heart was beating on its own.
The Family attorney Kevin Acevedo said, that Torres’ heart is still beating, and his temperature is still being regulated by some part of his brain because they believed that he may be unconscious but he’s not fully brain dead.
