After the eastern Chinese port city of Qingdao had a total of 12 cases of coronavirus, now, the authorities of that city said that they have completed coronavirus tests on more than 3 million people out of the total 9 million.
The 12 cases become the country’s first reported local outbreak in nearly two months at a hospital.
As cited News24xx.com from the National Health Commission said that at least six new cases of the virus were found in Qingdao in the past 24 hours.
Now, further testing and investigation have shown that the confirmed and asymptomatic cases are closely linked to the city’s Pulmonary Hospital.
Jiang Fachun, the deputy director of the city’s disease prevention and control center said seven COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery.
Altogether 80,736 patients had been discharged from hospitals after recovery on Tuesday.
