The Acting Regent of Bengkalis, H Syahrial Abdi reviewed the progress of the coastal protection development of the small island in front of North Rupat Beach Island, Bengkalis Regency on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020.
The development of this coastal protection is sourced from
the State Budget with a length of 500 meters.
Mr. Syahrial Abdi said that the Government of Bengkalis Regency has proposed this program in Riau Province, and the proposal has been fulfilled.
“With the construction of this coastal protection, we hope to the local community to be able to maintain this infrastructure”, Abdi said.
Furthermore, Abdi also added on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, in North Rupat District will be held a meeting with the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
“This meeting is very good because we can propose infrastructure and coastal security in Bengkalis Regency and the Community Service Office unit. For that meeting, we will invite five related Districts including Bengkalis and Bantan Districts, Bandar Laksamana Districts, Rupat, and North Rupat Districts,” said Abdi.
The Head of North Rupat Sub-district Agus Sofyan said after the built of several coastal management sectors in North Rupat District, there is some progress of development in Teluk Rhu Village.
“With good access, we hope that all beaches in North Rupat are well to covered.”
