After the news of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo‘s divorce broke out, the father of Song Joong Ki named Song Yong Gak apologized for the divorce and pointed the blame towards himself and his son.
He has sent a text message to his friends and clarified some of the rumors surrounding him, around him 8 days after the news.
In the text message, Song Yong Gak says that he did not know of the divorce until it hit the media.
But from a source, Song Yong Gak was out drinking with his friends before the divorce news was released, and they stated that he did not talk as much, and drank more than usual, acting differently than normal.
After the news came out, Song Yong Gak has since shut himself inside his home.
But he revealed to the media on July 6 that he was at a hospital and receiving surgery for cataracts.
