The Regent of Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), HM Wardan handed over assistance to victims of the fire that occurred on Jalan Sederhana Tembilahan.
The assistance was handed over by the Regent at the Tembilahan Hulu Urban Village Office, Tembilahan Hulu District, Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
The assistance provided by the Regent came from BPBD and the Social Service, in the form of basic necessities, mattresses, tarpaulins, toiletries, and baby equipment.
In his remarks, the Regent admitted that he was sorry and was concerned about this disaster. According to him, this disaster was a test from the Almighty.
“Hopefully Mr. and Mrs. who experience this disaster are patient, what God will take today will definitely replace it better. Nobody wants a disaster, we will definitely avoid it, but we don’t know when it will happen. Behind the disaster there must be a silver lining,” said the Regent.
This assistance, he added, was a form of concern from the Inhil Regency Government.
He hopes that this assistance can be useful and reduce the burden on the victims.
Meanwhile, the fire victims expressed their gratitude for the assistance that had been given. Thanks to this assistance, the victims felt grateful and comforted.
