Nevada became a crucial state for Joe Biden’s victory over Donald Trump in the 2020 US presidential election.

With Electoral College’s 6 votes rationed, securing Nevada will bring victory to Joe Biden, who currently has 264 electoral votes, Associated Press data said on November 6 at 15:00 WIB Meanwhile, Donald Trump received 214 electoral votes.

But unlike the AP, Reuters, and CNN monitoring reported Joe Biden received 253 electoral votes and Trump 213. If he followed the latest acquisition from the Associated Press, where Joe Biden received 264 votes, then Biden only needed to win Nevada (6).

The Nevada Independent reported Joe Biden narrowly edged out President Donald Trump in Nevada on Thursday, but vote-counting is still going on.

The Nevada secretary of state told CNN about 190,150 ballots statewide still to be counted, 90% of which came from Clark County, where Las Vegas is located.

In a news release issued Thursday afternoon, Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske said of the countless ballots remaining in Nevada, 123,554 were returned by post or sent directly to the ballot submission location.

The remaining 66,596 are ballots cast in person at a polling station, either during the initial ballot or on Election Day, by voters taking advantage of Nevada’s new voter registration laws.

Clark County has approximately 70% of all active Nevada registered voters.

In addition to the 190,150 uncounted statewide ballots, an additional 2,500 provisional ballots must be approved by Friday.

Earlier in the day, Clark County Clerk Joe Gloria said officials expected to count 51,000 votes by Thursday and release the results Friday morning Nevada time.

It is difficult to determine how many ballots are circulating in Nevada because the state is one of the few states that send ballots to all active registered voters. Election officials will count the ballots received until November 10, provided they are postmarked on Election Day.

While a Reuters / Edison Research poll prior to November 3 concluded Nevada was leaning toward the Democrats, that doesn’t mean Joe Biden can guarantee his win here unless all votes are counted.

Joe Biden’s campaign team had hoped to announce a victory in Nevada on Thursday which, according to some news media, would secure the last six votes the former vice president needs to take the presidency.

But the claim for victory in Nevada is premature as election officials will still count the ballots received until November 10, provided they are postmarked on Election Day, according to state law.

In anticipation of Biden’s victory in Nevada, Donald Trump’s campaign team will file a lawsuit in Nevada on Thursday.

Trump’s campaign team accused the thousands of invalid votes cast by deceased people and by voters who were no longer residents of Clark County, Reuters reported.

The San Antonio television network KSAT-TV reported Trump narrowly lost in Nevada in 2016 as the state tilted toward Democrats in the last ten years. It was George W. Bush who became the last Republican president to win the state in 2004.

On Wednesday afternoon the Associated Press summed up Joe Biden’s wins over Wisconsin (10) and Michigan (16) as the states increasingly counted more votes. By securing the two states, Biden made several winning scenario maps. First of all, Joe Biden must win over Pennsylvania (20) which, according to the preliminary tally, appears to be more Democratic.

Second, if Biden stays in Nevada (6), he could take Arizona (11), which has been declared a Biden victory by several news organizations although hundreds of thousands of votes remain to be counted.

According to the New York Times, Joe Biden even has a third track, but less likely than the other two scenarios, winning Nevada (6) and Georgia (16), in which the entry of ballots from Atlanta and the suburbs cuts Trump’s hopes.

The other scenario for 270 is Joe Biden winning Nevada (6) and Arizona (11), although the odds are slim of winning both of these states at once, it is worth taking into account anyway.

Joe Biden will no longer need to win the Pennsylvania commonwealth if he secures Nevada (6) and Arizona (11), said CNN’s,A John King. In short, Joe Biden only needs to win Pennsylvania (20) or a combination of the two states.
