A man with the initials K was arrested by the police for violent theft of a student in Kemuning District, Inhil.
The 19-year-old perpetrator forcibly seized the victim’s cellphone.
The incident started when the victim returned to his house in tears and told his parents that his cellphone had just been taken by force.
According to the victim’s account, the perpetrator when carrying out his action threatened the victim by pointing a wind weapon.
“An air rifle was pointed at the head of the victim. The perpetrator threatened to shoot if the victim did not provide his mobile phone,” explained Inhil Police Chief, AKBP Dian Setyawan through the Head of Public Relations of the Inhil Police, AKP Warno.
Warno explained that the perpetrator and the evidence had been secured at the Kemuning Police Headquarters for further processing.
