Indragiri Hilir Regency Government, on Monday, November 9, 2020, held a readiness ceremony for natural and non-natural disaster management in conjunction with the 56th National Health Day (HKN) which was centered in the courtyard of the Indragiri Hilir Regent’s Office.
This ceremony still implemented the Health Protocol by regulating the distance participant where the ceremony participants are only followed by 50 percent of the participants from the venue capacity.
Led by the Regent of Indragiri Hilir, the ceremony began with an examination of the participants and supporting instruments in dealing with disasters in Indragiri Hilir.
The Regent in his direction said that this ceremony was held in the form of preparedness from the Indragiri Hilir Regency Government with the National Army, National Police, the community, and all society elements in dealing and tackle natural and non-natural disasters and their consequences.
“Reminding us, in Indragiri Hilir have been hit by several disasters such as landslides, fires, tornadoes, floods and in 2020 we are hit by non-natural disasters such as the Covid-19 epidemic. Where we have just implemented a long holiday that needs our attention in the spread of covid-19, “said the Regent.
The Regent also added that this ceremony was held to equalize the steps and unite the willpower of all to work hand in hand in preventing and tackle the disaster in Indragiri Hilir.
“Let all components of society and the stakeholders continue to strengthen commitment, synergy, and cooperation, especially to prevent and cope with disasters, both natural disasters, non-natural disasters and social disasters,” the Regent asked.
