Tragic, after sharing a photo with her tampon string sticking out, an influencer received bad backlash.
The influencer named Sophie Elise, 25, is a body confidence influencer and singer from Oslo, Norway. She posted the nude snap to Instagram where she has 448,000 followers.
Sophie captioned the post: “My body, period.”
Instead, to dispel the stigma around periods, but she was told she was a bad role model who should hide her periods.
The cheeky post racked up 24,900 likes so far.
Some slammed Sophie for sharing the reality of the bodily process.
Sophie said: “I got a lot of DMs from men saying ‘this is so gross, I will unfollow you now’ and I just think it’s so insane that people in this world still find a woman’s period to be gross.”
But, some of Sophie’s fans were proud of her openness.
