On Wednesday, Bieber and Mendes revealed their new collaboration, Monster, which will be debuting on Friday, November 20, 2020.
Sitting side by side on a raised platform, both are stylized pixelated against an ominous outdoor backdrop, this song is gonna break the internet, as their fans are so hyped about the news.
The new collaboration song is about “how society can put celebrities up on a pedestal and watch them fall, and it seems to be this entertainment thin,’’ Mendes explained.
Mendes credits his collaborator (Justin Bieber) with inspiring him to sing, Shawn was 9 years old when Justin released “One Time” and kicked off what came to be known as “Bieber Fever”.
“He was Elvis to me,” Mendes continued.
“To come back around and have this very human conversation with him…it feels like one of the most special songs I’ve ever wrote.”
Back in August 2020, the collab rumors has already spread, the two artists are spotted at the same recording studio. Back in May 2018, Shawn Mendes and Hailey Baldwin appeared together at the Met Gala, before Hailey and Bieber are rumored dating a month later.
Now, there are no jealousy between Bieber and Mendes since Justin and Hailey are now married, and Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello the famous “Havana” singer been dating since summer 2019.
