Watering plants is part of home plant care. However, not rarely, because we are too excited or do not know the characteristics of plants, unconsciously we throw too much water on the plants.
This is normal, especially if we are beginners. It takes time to understand the water requirements for different types of plants.
Plants that watered too much can be rot. In order not to make the same mistake, do this following:
Identify the water requirements of the type of plant
Plants have varying water requirements. For Example succulent plants, or types of cacti, only need to be watered once every 7 until 10 days.
This is because the root system of the sekulen must dry out first, then it absorbs water again. If you add too much water, these plants will be rot.
But there are also herbs that need to be watered every day such as some types of Begonia. However, most indoor plants need water once every five days.
If you are planting in a pot, pour water slowly to the base of the stem; let the soil absorb it and wait for the excess water drain through the drainage holes in the bottom pot.
