Kampung Tangguh Nusantara Program located in Pekan Kamis Village, Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), Riau, is starting to reap. Seen on Thursday, November 27, 2020 the Head of Indragiri Hilir Police together with the Tembilahan Hulu Forkopimcam and the Indonesian Millennial Youth Organization (AMMI) of Indragiri Hilir carried out the first harvest of eggplant and chilli plants.
The Chief Police of Indragiri Hilir, AKBP Dian, said this first harvest activity was interpreted as an educational value for the Indragiri Hilir community to utilize idle lands and house yard to create a productive society.
“Hopefully, with the Kampung Tangguh Nusantara Program, Indragiri Hilir Police Village Guarding Movement can move the community’s economy and support the food security of the people in the village of Pekan Kamis Tembilahan Hulu,” he said.
With the Kampung Tangguh Nusantara Police Program of Indragiri Hilir is an effort to empower the potential of the community, to maintain food security stability, and anticipate other social problems at the Village or Kelurahan level.
“In this activity, Police of Indragiri Hilir will also be able to help residents affected by Covid-19,” said Dian.
The police of Indragiri Hilir, together with AMMI, handles agricultural equipment assistance to Pekan Village’s farmer on Thursday. The total plants harvested were 300 kilos of eggplant and 250 kilos of cayenne pepper.
