As many as 60 police personnel sent to secure the Election Polling Station Security (TPS) in 2020 in Indragiri Hulu.
Police Chief of Indragiri Hilir, AKBP Dian Setyawan, said the purpose of the rally was to check on personnel who departed to carry out Pam TPS in Indragiri Hulu.
“This ceremony aims to check the preparedness of police personnel, the facilities, the environmental conditions at the time of the implementation security of 2020 election in Indragiri Hulu, especially the Pilkada amidst the Covid-19 pandemic that is hitting our country,” said the Chief of Police.
The Chief of Police said that as a member of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), he should not be complacent to all disturbances of security and public order (Kamtibmas) that could occur at any time.
“We must always ready, also increase vigilance and prepare ourselves if any time the country needs our presence, we must ready to go,” he said.
This activity is a form of concern and a manifestation of the National Police unit to neighboring districts.
“This is a service of Indragiri Hilir Police, in this case, to the concern of neighboring districts to always maintain security and public order (Kamtibmas) to remain safe and conducive,” said AKBP Dian.
The Police Chief also emphasized his personnel to take a stand and maintain the neutrality of the National Police in organizing the 2020 election.
“I urge the members to maintain neutrality in the 2020 Regional Head Election and remain in the corridors of their respective duties and their main duties,” he said.
