General Secretary of FPI Munarman described the current condition of Habib Rizieq Shihab in the detention cell. From the detainees, Habib Rizieq left a message regarding the deaths of 6 FPI troops.
“Calm down, yes, he is still happy, smiling, joking. And he conveyed the message that we should not stop fighting and never forget the murder case of 6 martyrs. It must expose to roots,” Munarman said at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Monday (12/14/2020).
According to Munarman, the 6 members of the FPI laskar were not only subjected to physical violence, but also verbal abuse. The verbal violence, said Munarman, was in the form of slander. He said that the 6 members of the FPI Laskar were also victims of structural violence. What does it mean?
“Then it continues. The most serious thing is structural violence, meaning that the fabrication of cases against them is as if they were using the instruments of power and human resources at their power to make them accused and perpetrators. So they are not victims,” said Munarman.
Previously it was reported that Habib Rizieq was detained at the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center after undergoing questioning as a suspect for sedition related to crowds in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said that Habib Rizieq was detained because he was afraid of repeating his actions.
“There are two reasons for detention, namely objective and subjective. For the objective of threats over 5 years, it is subjective why the first detention was carried out so that the suspect did not escape, then the suspect did not lose evidence and the third was not repeating it,” said Argo at the Regional Police Headquarters. Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Sunday (12/13).
Meanwhile, regarding the deaths of 6 members of the FPI Laskar, a joint team from Bareskrim Polri and Polda Metro Jaya (PMJ) has carried out reconstruction in 4 points in the Karawang area, West Java. The National Police called this reconstruction a form of police transparency.
