Two young girls were arrested by the police.
Both were involved in the theft and murder of an old grandmother in Majalengka Regency.
The heinous action took place at the victim’s house named Maemunah (68) in Leuwimunding Village, Majalengka.
The perpetrator killed his neighbor, E (18) and a friend, I (19).
“We succeeded in arresting two suspects with the initials I and E who committed violent theft and resulted in the death of the victim,” said Head of Majalengka Police, AKBP Bismo Teguh Prakoso at the Majalengka Police Headquarters on Wednesday.
The two young girls were desperate to do their ungodly action because Maemunah’s grandmother was caught stealing.
Panicking, the two of them strangled Maemunah.
According to Bismo, this heinous act was pre-planned.
E, who was the victim’s neighbor, knew that Maemunah’s grandmother often wore gold jewelry and lived alone.
Then E asked his friend I to carry out the action to steal the victim’s jewelry and belongings.
Before being arrested, the perpetrator’s brain, E, witnessed the police processing the crime scene at the victim’s house.
“One suspect, E, was in fact at the location when the Majalengka Police’s Satreskrim team conducted the TKP,” continued Bismo.
The police moved quickly to solve the case by examining witnesses and gathering other clues.
The two young girls are known to have taken Maemunah’s grandmother’s cellphone. From there the arrest process begins.
“The suspect took the victim’s cellphone. The cellphone was found to be in Sadasari Majalengka Village,” he said.
Knowing the location of the cellphone, on Monday, August 10, 2020, the police headed straight to the location.
Then the police found the cellphone from a man’s hand, the initials MS (21).
After being examined, MS admitted that he bought the cell phone from hand I for Rp. 450 thousand.
The two make transactions in front of the Sukahaji Majalengka Village Post Office.
Not long after, the police immediately arrested I at his home in Ciparay Village.
During the interrogation, suspect I confessed to his ungodly act.
To the police, I admitted that he had carried out the action with his friend E, who was the victim’s neighbor.
“At around 22.00, suspect E, who was the victim’s neighbor, was successfully secured at his house,” said Bismo.
The two young girls must feel the coldness of the floor in the detention room at the Majalengka Police Headquarters.
I and E were rewarded with Article 365 of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of 15 to 20 years in prison
