Regent Inhil, HM Wardan attended the 5th Grand Meeting of the Riau Duanu Family Association (IKDR) at the hall of Top 5 Hotel Tembilahan, Wednesday (23/12/2020).
The Grand Meeting of the Duanu Community V was attended by the participants and observers from 13 villages from 7 districts. The agenda meeting is the election of the IKDR head for the year 2020-2025.
The Regent said Inhil Government welcomed, supported, and appreciated activities that have a positive influence on Duanu community.
“This grand meeting is not only used as a momentum to discuss various problems faced by the Duanu community and the management of the IKDR but what is no less important is to strengthen ties and strengthen the unity of the Duanu people in Inhil,” said the Regent.
Furthermore, he also advised the people of Duanu to continue to improve unity, cohesiveness, togetherness, and continue to preserve Duanu culture. It including language, traditions, and local wisdom that are identical to the sea so that it will continue to exist and be maintained in the future so that it is under the expression. “Duanu lap ne dolak,” which means Duanu will not disappear at sea.
After conveyed his remarks, the Regent received the cover of the Duanu tribe’s debut album, which was handed over by a Duanu community leader.
