Instaceleb Melda Rosita has filed a report with the Bali Police over a viral video that was allegedly taken without her consent, wherein a wardrobe malfunction reportedly exposed her breast.
It may possibly be the first case of its kind in Indonesia.
A short clip of Melda circulated widely last week, in which a dress she was wearing came loose that her right breast was exposed.
Melda, who has over 246,000 followers on Instagram, has since warned people to take down the videos they have shared on social media, explaining that she’s taking the invasion to her privacy seriously.
“For those of you who are still spreading that viral video. It’s better that you take it down lest you want the consequences. Stop sharing or posting. I’m not playing around in dealing with this case, because I feel harmed so I’m not going to stay quiet,” Melda wrote on an Instagram story.
Melda told that she filed the police report on Friday. She explained that the video was filmed just a few days prior, on Jan. 6, while she was on vacation with her friends at Diamond Beach, Nusa Penida.
According to Melda, the photographer took the clip and shared it on a WhatsApp group with hundreds of participants, which led to it going viral.
It’s not clear at this point if Melda has filed a formal complaint specifically against the photographer.
