Sheikh Ali Jaber passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at around 08.30 am, local time.
The death news was conveyed by his colleague, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur, through a video that uploaded on his official Instagram account, @yusufmansurnew.
It is known that Sheikh Ali Jaber’s health condition has deteriorated in recent weeks.

On December 29, 2020, Sheikh Ali Jaber announced that he was positive for Covid-19. This he conveyed through a video which was then uploaded by his foundation account, @ y Yayasan.syekhalijaber.
In the video, Sheikh Ali Jaber is seen wearing oxygen aid. He admitted that he did not expect to be positive for Covid-19. He also emphasized that he always tried his best to comply with health protocols, implemented 3M, and rarely met many people.
Sheikh Ali Jaber revealed that he felt fever, coughed, and had difficulty breathing. After only wanting to undergo self-quarantine, Sheikh Ali Jaber finally decided to be hospitalized because he was not strong with his condition.
Sheikh Ali Jaber’s condition then deteriorated shortly after announcing he was positive for Covid-19. Through the admin who manages his personal Instagram account, @ syekh.alijaber, the preacher from Medina is known to have entered the ICU room at a hospital in Jakarta.
From the upload, it was found that Sheikh Ali Jaber could not communicate online yet. This is because he is not allowed to bring his mobile device while undergoing treatment in the ICU.
