The first COVID-19 vaccination in East Java was completed at the Grahadi State building, Surabaya.
In total there are 21 figures from the ranks of the East Java Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) and a number of figures who have undergone a COVID-19 vaccine injection.
Deputy Governor of East Java, Emil Elestianto Dardak, was the first figure to receive the first COVID-19 vaccine. In the process, Emil admitted that he was quite nervous about getting the first vaccine by being seen by many people.
“There is an interesting incident, earlier our tension turned out to be above average because maybe a lot of friends are tense, usually no vaccines are watched. I am 133 even though I usually have 110,” said Emil, after the vaccine, on Thursday, 14 January.
Emil said, the COVID-19 vaccination process was a form of joint work with the government, with all parties to work together to immediately break the chain of spreading Covid-19.
In fact, Emil admitted that he had waited 30 minutes for post-vaccine symptoms to appear, such as itching, swelling in the injection area, fever, or fatigue.
“Not a single symptom was felt after 30 minutes of being vaccinated. Alhamdulillah, there were no symptoms, he was in good condition. I had an immediate expectation, but no one has felt pain until now,” said the former Trenggalek Regent.
Because of that, Emil advised the public not to be afraid to undergo the vaccine, because the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) has made various efforts until it is declared safe. Not only that, during the vaccination process, various health checking procedures are also carried out so that the vaccination process runs smoothly.
“As those who have experienced it, for those who are afraid of being injected, don’t be afraid. I have had blood drawn, it feels more. This is very fast and it doesn’t feel like it. Before us, there were a lot of people who followed phase three clinical trials. So this has followed a very process. strictly before BPOM issues a permit, “he said.
