A recidivist for the theft of the initials RH (19), a resident of Kotabaru Seberida Village, Keritang District, Indragiri Hilir Regency (Inhil) is back in action.
RH stole jewelry in the form of a watch, a pomegranate ring and a wallet containing IDR 100 thousand in a house owned by KU (66) which is located on Home Base, Lorong Seratus, Kotabaru Sebrida Village, Keritang District.
RH is subject to Article 362 of the Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, KU is a suspect in a methamphetamine-type narcotic case.
Chronology of events on Saturday, January 23, 2021 afternoon, neighbors reported to the KU (the owner of house) who was languishing behind the bars of the Keritang Police, that someone had entered the house through the back door.
“After checking KU’s house by members of the police and several witnesses, KU’s belongings were no longer there. For this incident KU suffered material losses of approximately IDR 5,1 million,” said Kapolres Inhil AKBP Dian Setyawan through the Head of Sub Division of Public Relations AKP Warno.
Then Monday morning, January 25, 2021, KU was the one who reported the incident to the Keritang Police.
Based on the report, the Acting Kapolsek Keritang, IPDA Delni Atma Saputra together with members of the Keritang Police Criminal Unit investigated the incident.
“On the same day, the investigation found that the perpetrator of the theft was RH (a criminal case recidivist). After the arrest, evidence was confiscated in the form of a gold yellow watch, 1 red pomegranate ring and 1 black wallet containing money as much as IDR 60,000, “explained AKP Warno.
Then the reported and the evidence was taken to the Keritang Police for further investigation.
