In a shocking incident, a man allegedly livestreamed sex with his two wives and earned money through the same.
The man allegedly conducted live shows on several platforms and demanded money from users. The man’s criminal behaviour came to light when one of his wives approached the police.
The woman told the police that she was tortured and intimidated by the accused as her private moments were shared with others. The accused is said to have made lakhs through the streaming.
The accused dropped out after class X but is well-equipped with technology. Allegedly, he had been active on several dating apps and had learned to redeem cash through online rewards or gifts.
The accused had uploaded a display picture on the apps where he was active. If a user liked the picture, he/she would receive a message comprising a menu. As per the menu, users were asked to pay Rs 100 for a demo and the rate went up to Rs 1,000. A different set of charges applied for ‘faceless’ and with ‘face streaming’ of sex.
The first wife of the suspect is from Bengaluru. She met the accused on social media and is seven months pregnant. The second wife of the accused follows a spiritual guru and got to know the accused when he was pretending to be a follower of the same guru, The Times of India reported.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to livestreaming sexual activities with both his wives.
