Amazing, within minutes before being cremated, a daughter noticed that her mother was still alive. The 89-year-old woman has now been returned to the private clinic where she had been declared dead for just a few days.
The horrifying discovery was made in the city of Resistencia in Argentina’s north-eastern province of Chaco. Until today, the victim’s name has not been released by Argentine authorities.
According to the newspaper Diario Norte, the woman had been admitted to a private clinic on Saturday, January 23. When her daughter came to visit the next day, she was told by staff that her mother had died of a cardiorespiratory arrest and was given her death certificate.
According to a local police report, “The daughter went to the sanatorium at 8.45 am where she met with a doctor who told her about the death of her mother after suffering cardiorespiratory arrest, for which she was sent to the crematorium on Velez Sarsfield Avenue and hired the funeral and cremation service.”
According to the news site Info Veloz, at the funeral, the daughter noticed that her mother still had vital signs as she was about to enter the incinerator and quickly told employees to stop the cremation.
Then, the patient was returned to the private clinic where she is currently being treated in intensive care.
And her daughter has reported the clinic to the local authorities who have confirmed that they will carry out a full investigation.
