The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau has disciplined street vendors (PKL) and business establishments that use road bodies to sell.
“The PKL control activities are carried out along Jalan Baharuddin Yusuf and Jalan Tembilahan Ring,” said Head of Sasatpol PP Inhil, Marta Haryadi on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
He explained that this control of trafficking was carried out based on reports from the Team in the field to the Patrol Team that there were street vendors and business premises on Baharuddin Yusuf street and Ring I street that used road bodies so as to disrupt traffic and the chaotic arrangement of business premises.
Therefore, the Patrol Team headed straight to the location of the violation to immediately enforce control.
“In this activity, we sent 16 Satpol PP personnel to directly check the location and found that the street vendors and the ysaha were still in place,” he said.
In addition, he stated that traders were given verbal and written warnings not to return to selling on the road.
“So we approached traders. There were 14 business establishments that received written warnings. They all agreed to rearrange their business premises in accordance with Perda No. 11/2016 to make it look tidier, “he said.
