Photo of a boy wearing a worn mask in Bali has been widely shared on social media. Photographers want to convey a message about compliance with health protocols in the midst of conditions of complete deprivation.
This photo was taken by Andy Karyasa Wayan who works at the Bali Volunteer Foundation. Andy took a photo of this little boy in Jungutan Karangasem, Bali on Saturday, January 30.
“Actually, the photo doesn’t tell anything. I posted according to the post just as an example of ‘this little brother is a poor person but struggles to obey the existing rules, ”said Andy on Monday, February 1, 2021.
Incidentally, Andy once met this boy’s grandmother who lived in the hut.
Andy, through the Bali Volunteer Foundation, wants to build a house for his grandmother and his family. Andy emphasized that this post did not mean anything other than to show the obedience of residents in remote locations even to health protocols.
“My post has no direction or connection to anything, let alone the pandemic. I only wrote about the obedience of the villagers with its simplicity, that’s all, “he continued.
This post on the andy_k_wy Instagram account invites sympathy for many netizens. They asked for their full address and even expressed their intention to provide assistance to the child and his family.
Andy explained, the condition of the grandmother’s hut who lives with the boy with the shabby mask is very apprehensive.
