Six Malaysian men were arrested in connection with a gang-rape case involving a 13-year-old girl in Kampung Simpang Perak, Ayer Panas, Perak.
According to Pengkalan Hulu District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent Zulkepli Ibrahim, a report was made at about 2pm, claiming that a girl had been gang-raped at a house.
He said the victim claimed to have met one of the suspects through WhatsApp on 5 February before she was invited to go for a walk around Pengkalan Hulu at about 7.50pm the next day, reported Astro Awani.
The victim was then taken to a house and allegedly raped by one of the suspects before being raped by three other men in three separate rooms from 11pm on 6 February until 3pm the next day (7 February).
“The victim was then left on the side of the main road in Kampung Tanjung Kala, Gerik on 7 February at around 6.30pm,” Zulkepli Ibrahim said in a statement.
He added that the victim is now receiving treatment at the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
