As an effort to anticipate flooding ahead of the rainy season, the National Armed Forces with personnel from Kodim 0314 / Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) and also members of the Tembilahan Police carried out the cleaning of the trench which is located on Jalan Diponegoro, Parit 13, Tembilahan Hilir.
Any rubbish in the ditch was cleaned by Kodim personnel and local residents.
Apart from elements of the TNI and Polri, the community also assisted in cleaning the trenches along the 13 bridges 2 trenches. This cleaning was carried out so that the flowing water could smoothly lead to the trench to the Indragiri River.
Dandim 0314 / lnhil, Lnf lmir Faishal through Pasi Ops Kodim 0314 / lnhil Captain Inf Tarmizi said that even though we are in a state of the Covid-19 pandemic, mutual cooperation in efforts to empower the environment should not be lax.
“This togetherness must be continued in efforts to normalize water channels so that floods do not occur again in several areas in Tembilahan city,” he said.
He hopes that this mutual cooperation can continue to be carried out routinely, in addition to protecting the environment, mutual cooperation is also a means of cultivating a spirit of unity and integrity in the community.
