Not only helping residents from fire attacks, the Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP) also helped residents from attacks by dangerous animals.
Rescue teams from DPKP Inhil are often asked for help by residents to secure snakes, monkeys, and other animal disturbances that can cause unrest in the community.
On Friday, March 5, 2021, the team caught a cobra that entered a resident’s house on Jalan Lintas in Tembilahan Hulu District.
The Head of DPKP of Indragiri Hilir, Eddiwan Shasby, explained that his party often receives reports from the public regarding disturbances from animals that can cause anxiety and concern as well as threats to the community.
“Alhamdulillah, the DPKP Rescue Team always responds and can overcome problems,” explained Eddiwan.
After successfully securing the dangerous animal, the team then released it into its natural habitat.
“After we secure it from the residents’ houses, then they are released back to their natural habitat, which is far from residential areas,” said Eddiwan.
