The Regent of Indragiri Hilir, HM Wardan, accompanied by his wife, along with the Head of Baznas Indragiri Hilir and the Head of the Indragiri Hilir Social Service, paid a visit to the nursing home which is managed by the Pondok Bhakti Foundation.
During the visit, the Regent said that the elderly who are in the orphanage will get Zakat.
“After the calculation, each month the elderly will get zakat from Baznas Indragiri Hilir amounting to IDR 420 thousand. Apart from the elderly, the caregivers of the elderly will also get zakat of IDR 720 thousand per month,” he said.
The Regent hope with the assistance in the form of zakat through Baznas Indragiri Hilir, the elderly were cared for well.
“Hopefully this zakat can help them,” asked the Regent.
The Regent also hopes that the Elderly Pondok Bhakti Panti Foundation will be managed well.
“Hopefully, this foundation will develop well because there are still a lot of our parents out there who still need help,” he said.
