Two teens were arrested by the Kempas Police – Indragiri Hilir because they were proven to have committed a criminal act of theft by weighting.
The two young men are H (23), a resident of Lintas Utara Village, Keritang District, and N (23), a resident of Mumpa.
They stole 11 gas cylinders 3-kilo grams from a kiosk owned by Selamat (52) which is located at Blok D RT 007 RW 002, Danau Pulai Indah Village, Kempas District.
The disclosure of the theft began when the stall owner was about to leave for dawn prayers and saw the stall door in front of his house was open.
When checked into the kiosk, the table drawers were open, the items on the kiosk shelves were scattered and eleven LPG gas cylinders were missing.
In addition to the gas cylinders, IDR 800 thousand in cash had also been lost, and finally, the kiosk owner reported the incident to the Kempas Police.
On the orders of the Kapolsek Kempas Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Handoko conducted an investigation.
“On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, H and N were arrested at a house in Parit 2 Mumpa, Tempuling District, which was suspected to be their hiding place,” he explained.
And now the perpetrators are at the Kempas Police Headquarters for further investigation.
The two perpetrators admitted their actions and were subject to Article 363 of the Criminal Code.
