Piles of garbage can be seen on several roads in Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir, Riau, Wednesday (7/4/2021).
For example, on Jalan H Said, Jalan Ahmad Yani to Jalan Tanjung Harapan Tembilahan.
Responding to this, the Head of DLHK of Indragiri Hilir, Iliyanto also said that the waste transporting fleets that usually operate is in the process of being repaired.
“The fleet is under repair, then there is also a delay in the supply of fuel, so the process of transporting waste is also hampered,” he explained.
The former Head of the PUPR Office also denied that there was an issue that waste was not transported because the salary was not paid so that the Field Daily Workers (THL) went on strike.
“There is no such thing (strike), indeed there was a delay in wages in March which was caused by a manual system of financial requests (usually online / application). We will try to pay it immediately and for April it will return to normal according to schedule. This is also true. We have informed THL about cleanliness and gardens, “he explained.
Iliyanto also added that he will try to transport all waste. Even if there was a delay, he explained it only technically.
“We will always try our best to provide services to the community with existing limitations,” said Iliyanto.
