A man with shirtless and had a backpack on, and identified as a foreigner was captured on video while scavenging scraps from offerings in Bali.
The man, who was wearing a dark cap and black shorts, was filmed finding food items from the scattered offerings, and throw them into a plastic bag.
The clip, which has gone viral, is prompting local authorities to launch a search for the man.
The clip started making its rounds on Facebook and Instagram. Badung regency’s head of Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara, said officers are now trying to find out more about the person.
But, it is unclear at this point when or where the video was taken.
But Suryanegara said the man might be the same person who was seen begging around the Pecatu area not too long ago, who was sent away by local residents.
The foreigner might have violated a 2016 regulation on public order issued by Badung regent, Suryanegara said, which prohibits loitering and busking, among other things.
