The Peraduan Palace is one of the most valuable Cultural Heritage Sites and is closely related to the history of the Siak Sultanate and is very significant in the history of supporting the nation’s struggle.
Peraduan Palace, which is the resting place for Sultan Siak, Sultan Syarif Kasim II, is part of the Siak Sri Indrapura Sultanate Palace.
The Regent of Siak, Alfedri expressed his gratitude to RAPP Company, which has built a national cultural heritage to be luxurious and magnificent, but still maintains the original form of the palace where the king Sultan Syarif Kasim II with his family gathered and rested.
“The restoration of the Palace of Complaints that was carried out by RAPP is very luxurious and magnificent, but still maintains the original, and is very good,” said Alfedri.
In the Pucuk Rebung room during the handover of the restoration of the Peraduan Palace from PT RAPP to the Siak Regency Government, Alfedri said that the Siak Palace area had been used as a cultural area and Siak city had entered the Indonesian heritage city network (JKPI).
At the same place, the Director of RAPP Mhd Ali Shabri previously said that the renovation of this historic building cost IDR 3.2 Billion.
Includes 6 rooms, consisting of a living room, family room, diorama, master bedroom, family dining room, and room divider.
He said, this work began at the end of October 2018 and was completed on January 9, 2020.
“In doing this work, apart from reconstruction, revitalization is also in restoring the original form of the historical heritage of the Sultan of Siak, by rearranging the interior and exterior of the Palace as well as completing the existing furniture in the Peraduan Palace,” he said.
On that occasion, Ali Shabri expressed his gratitude to the Siak Regency Government and the Siak Palace Cultural Heritage which had given RAPP Company to carry out the restoration project of the Unified Palace.
He also thanked all parties, especially the Siak Regional Government and stakeholders for supporting and collaborating until the restoration project was carried out and completed well.
“Hopefully this will become a new attraction for tourism in Siak,” he said.
Ali hopes that the Completed Palace which has been completely restored can be protected and maintained so that it remains known as one of the historical and cultural heritages that exist in the Siak Regency and in Indonesia and even the world in general.
Then the group headed to the Peraduan Palace, then the Siak Regent and the Director of PT RAPP signed the inscription stone and cut the ribbon before entering the Peraduan Palace. (Adv)
