Regent of Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), HM Wardan, revealed the imposition of sanctions for violators of health protocols which will start tomorrow.
This was revealed by the Regent of Indragiri Hilir Regency, HM Wardan after a joint agreement was made on the results of the meeting of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum and the Covid-19 Task Force team in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Monday, May 3, 2021, in Tembilahan.
The meeting was held with an agenda of discussion related to strategic steps to create a safe, orderly, and conducive atmosphere amid the recent spike in Covid-19 cases in Indragiri Hilir Regency.
According to the Regent, it is necessary to tighten the health protocol in Indragiri Hilir Regency to control the Covid-19 number which has increased by carrying out routine patrol activities.
Moreover, with the current spike in Covid-19 cases, the status of Indragiri Hilir Regency has shifted to the orange zone.
“Starting tomorrow, health protocol patrols will be carried out. All this is done to prevent the spread of covid-19,” said the Regent after the meeting.
The Regent said that the sanctions for violating the health protocol will be effective tomorrow. For violators, said the Regent, social sanctions would be given in the form of cleaning up the Covid-19 burial site.
“However, if the same person is found to have violated 3 times in succession, he will be sanctioned by imprisonment for 3 days,” said the Regent.
Furthermore, the Regent hopes for cooperation from all parties to adhere to health protocols. According to him, community involvement is urgently needed in the continuous application of health protocols until the Covid-19 virus is completely gone.
“Without the cooperation of all elements, this Covid-19 pandemic will be difficult to control. For that, I hope we can work together to enforce the discipline of health protocols for a safe and free Indragiri Hilir from Covid-19,” said the Regent.
