The Regent of Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), HM Wardan, observes the roadblock posts for the ban on going home in Selensen Village, Kemuning District, which is the border of Riau Province with Jambi, Sunday, May 2, 2021.

“This post is the entrance to Riau Province, which is directly adjacent to Mahau Village, West Tanjung Jabung Regency (Tanjabbar) Jambi Province,” said the Regent.

This restriction and prohibition on going home is a government program to suppress the development of Covid-19 in the country, especially in the Indragiri Hilir Regency.

Therefore, he hopes for community support in the success of the program.

“We know that without community support, this program will not run smoothly. Hopefully, everything will run smoothly, safely, and orderly shortly after and after Idul Fitri,” the Regent hoped.

There are also vehicles that are prohibited from passing, including motorized vehicles, public transportation such as buses and other passenger cars. Types of river, lake, and ferry transportation are also prohibited from operating, and monitoring is carried out by establishing bulkhead posts at the port.

However, there are exceptions, namely for people who have certain interests.

Among them, people who work or on official trips (ASN, BUMN / BUMD employees. Indonesian National Police, private employees who are equipped with an assignment letter with a wet signature and wet stamp) from their leadership.

Then, visits from sick families, visits from bereaved family members, pregnant women with one companion, the need for childbirth (a maximum of two companions), and emergency health services.

Furthermore, the exclusion of vehicles, namely vehicles of the leadership of state high institutions of the Republic of Indonesia, operational service vehicles with service plates, the Indonesian National Army, and the Police.

Operational service vehicles for toll road officers, fire engines, cargo cars without passengers, vehicles transporting drugs and medical devices,

Vehicles carrying repatriation of Indonesian migrant workers, Indonesian citizens, students who are abroad, and the return of people for special reasons by the government to their place of origin are in accordance with applicable regulations.

The exceptions are vehicles on crossings, logistic transport vehicles, vehicles for transporting medicines and medical devices, vehicles for transporting government operational officers and personnel handling the prevention of the spread of Covid-19, fire engines, ambulances, and hearses.

As for the sanctions, for illegal travel vehicles or public transportation, they will be subject to strict sanctions in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations, which can be in the form of a ticket or other administrative sanctions.

For the public will be asked to make a U-turn, for public transport operators and river, lake, and ferry transportation business entities will be excluded from the service schedule and prohibited from operating during the Eid al-Fitr period.
