The BAZNAS Livestock Center of Siak Regency is a point of empowerment for breeders fostered by LPPM BAZNAS RI together with BAZNAS Siak Regency, which runs a business of breeding and fattening with goat livestock commodities that have only been run in 2021.
In addition to accepting requests for buying and selling livestock, mustahik farmer groups also receive orders for processing livestock meat into ready-to-eat dishes, both for aqiqah or special orders such as for breaking fast packages in the month of Ramadan.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Baznas Siak Livestock Center, Ustadz Mahmud, to the media.
Mahmuda continued that the Mustahik Livestock Center which is managed, at the end of Ramadan, the Mustahik Breeders assisted by BAZNAS in Siak Regency received orders from the community in order to fulfill orders for breaking fast packages in the form of curried goat curry.
“In addition to the iftar package, we also provide qurban animals, for aqiqah, and ready-to-eat mutton,” he said.
He conveyed that all processing of goat dish package orders is carried out by the breeders and at the same time empowering the breeders’ wives. Starting from cutting, food processing, packaging, and distribution are carried out by mustahik breeders with due observance of health protocols.
Mahmuda said, breeders get the benefit of increasing income from processed goats and also get profit from selling livestock. The breeders are very happy to get this order because at the beginning of the program they can generate income from processing the raised livestock.
“God willing, we will develop more animal husbandry for this mustahik. So, it can improve the welfare of the mustahik,” he said.
