The Regent of Siak Alfedri reviewed the mass vaccination of the community and village officials in Sungai Apit sub-district.
The review was accompanied by the Head of the Siak District Health Office, Tony Chandra.
When the Regent Alfedri arrived at the first location of the vaccination site, he greeted the residents who wanted to be vaccinated, greeting them one by one.
The mass vaccination in Sungai Apit sub-district was carried out in the first 4 (four) points in the Puskesmas of Kampung Mektronik, Kampung Harapan, Teluk Batil and Rawa Mekar Jaya.
With a vaccination target of 800 residents.
“Our target is that the day vaccination program at Sungai Apit 200 for one village is 800 people, spread over 4 points. Today’s vaccination priority is the elderly, then village officials to the RT and RW levels, mosque imams who are in direct contact with the community, such as traders. and community leaders,” he explained.
He said, this period there are 13,800 vaccines that will be given to the public. On 20-21 May 2021, simultaneous vaccination will be carried out in all districts.
“Today is the third day we carry out mass vaccinations after the City of Siak, Tualang and today in Sungai Apit, following Wednesday in Dayun sub-district. Our target for this period is that there are 13,800 vaccines, which will be given to the community, more than 4,000 have already been implemented, “he said.
He hopes that by increasing the number of vaccinations carried out, it can reduce the number of Covid-19 transmission in Siak district. He also conveyed that after Eid there was a decrease in Covid 19 cases.
“After Eid al-Fitr, positive cases of Covid-19 have decreased, from 560 cases a week before Eid, currently only 400 cases, followed from the red zone, now the orange zone, we hope we can turn green,” he concluded.
