Regent Siak Alfedri with the Governor of Riau and a number of Regents throughout Riau Province signed an agreement on the boundaries of each region in the auditorium room, Fl. 8 Riau Governor Office.
“The acceleration of the settlement of regional boundaries refers to Government Regulation (PP) Number 43 of 2021 concerning Settlement of Inconsistencies in Spatial Planning, Forest Areas, Permits and/or Land Rights,” Regent Alfedri conveyed after the event.
He also expressed his gratitude for the agreement of all Regional Heads in resolving all problems of boundaries or boundaries of their respective territories.
“We are grateful that this (regional boundaries between districts) can be resolved and can be agreed upon as a joint decision”, he said.
He added that the regional boundaries of the Siak Regency have reached an agreement with the Regional Heads. For example, between Siak and Rokan Hulu and Siak and Kampar.
“Broadly speaking, the boundaries of our territory (Siak Regency) have reached a mutual agreement, like today between Siak and Kampar, to be precise, Rantau Bertuah Village and Kampar, then Siak and Rokan Hulu District we have agreed on,” he said.
He continued, today’s activity was a follow-up from the previous meeting on May 5, 2021. In accordance with PP No. 43, it is stipulated that the problem of territorial boundaries must be resolved by July 2 throughout Indonesia.
The number one person in Siak conveyed that the life of the people on the border is a shared responsibility between the Siak Regency Government and the local District and Village Governments as well as a joint responsibility with the neighboring Regencies.
“The completion of this territorial boundary is also a follow-up to the Job Creation Law, as well as in the context of increasing regional investment, regional spatial planning. This will certainly have a very good impact on the welfare of the community, especially those living in our border areas,” he concluded.
Previously, the Governor of Riau, Syamsuar, in his remarks expressed his gratitude for the concerted steps that have been taken by all Regents so that the target for solving the problem of territorial boundaries between districts can be achieved by mutual agreement.
“Based on Government Regulation Number 43 of 2021, it is explained that the Central Government hopes that the Regional Government can immediately complete it within five months of the signing of the PP, namely February 2, 2021,” said Syamsuar.
This means that he continued, until July 2021 this must have been well realized. Because of that, he expressed his gratitude to the Regent for taking concrete steps related to the handling of Territorial boundaries.
