Regional Secretary (Sekda) Siak, H Arfan Usman, said that the destruction of this evidence was one of the actions to provide lessons and warnings to the public so that they should not even deal with these illegal items, because no matter how clever they are to keep these illicit items, they will certainly smell slowly.
The Regional Secretary also advised the public to stay away from drugs of any kind, destroying this evidence is also an effort to save the nation’s future generations from being caught in the narcotics circle.

Arfan Usman destroyed 824.04 grams of crystal methamphetamine, then dumped it in the Siak river.
Meanwhile, dry marijuana, weighing 3,740.64 grams, is destroyed by burning.
“Today we present 3 suspects, two suspects from the arrests in Mempura, namely A and M and one in Tualang, namely the initials EP,” said the Police Chief.
“The arrest in Mempura is planned for the illegal goods to be circulated in the district of Mempura,” said the police chief.
The Police Chief explained that the suspect has now been processed and the files have been transferred to the Siak Prosecutor’s Office.
The Siak Police Chief explained that the uncovered drug trafficking was confirmed to have nothing to do with international networks.
For marijuana, said the Police Chief, his party received a report from the people of Sungai Apit District, where they found a suspicious package in a gunny sack.
“After an inspection by the Apit River Police personnel, a package of dried marijuana was found,” he said.
Currently, the police are still hunting for the owner of the dried marijuana wrapped in the gunny.
Siak Police Chief AKBP Gunar Rahardyanto said that his party continues to make efforts to eradicate drugs circulating in his jurisdiction, he stresses that he will not give mercy to the dealers or users of these illicit goods. (**)
