In line with this, the Regent of Siak Alfedri directly opened the Islamic Boarding School Economic and Accounting System Development Training, as well as Halal Certification Training for MSMEs products, as well as the continuation of the Hafidzpreneur Program in collaboration between the Siak Regency Government and the Tazkia Islamic Institute.

“Pesantren not only plays a role as an educational institution but have the potential to be utilized in achieving the economic independence of the people, for that we have issued the first Pesantren Regional Regulation in Riau to maximize the role of the pesantren”, said Regent Alfedri in his remarks.
Alfedri then conveyed things that could be pursued in order to develop the economic independence and accounting of Islamic boarding schools, in supporting Islamic boarding schools as the basis for the economic flow of the people and regions.
“We continue to encourage the development of various MSMEs units both in Islamic boarding schools, especially to support the community of MSMEs players with halal products. Where we continue to increase the financing of the MSMEs sector through the APBD budget, Village Funds, to the Baznas Siak Regency which has provided more than one billion per year. in order to encourage the growth and development of these MSMEs”, he explained.
Regent Alfedri also expressed his commitment to continue to improve regional human resources while ensuring that children from poor families can pursue undergraduate education, one of which is through the hafidzpreneur scholarship in collaboration with the Tazkia Islamic Institute.
“At least more than 1,800 poor families that we have recorded have college-age children. We are collaborating with the Tazkia Islamic Institute so that they can study through the Hafidzpreneur scholarship program. In addition, together with IAI Tazkia we are also committed to improving regional MSMEs, which today Mrs. Dr. Murniati Mukhlisin (IAITazkia Chancellor) and her staff will provide halal certification training for UMKM products to representatives of UMKM players from all districts who are present, as well as training in economics and Islamic boarding school accounting “, he explained.
Alfedri hopes that through this training, in the future, regional MSMEs can continue to be improved and Islamic boarding schools in Siak Regency can improve the quality of education as well as independence through the development of the pesantren economy.
“Through this training, of course, we hope that in the future MSMEs can continue to be improved, where our target is in the next five years to be able to produce 16,000 MSMEs to boost the regional economy, for that we give our appreciation to the Tazkia Islamic Institute for supporting it through various training provided”, he concluded.
On the next occasion, the Chancellor of IAI Tazkia Dr. Murniati Mukhlisin said this training focused more on providing halal certification management practices, starting from material knowledge, prepared documents, filling practices in the system, to receiving halal certificates.
“This training is more in the direction of practice so that UMKM players can take care of halal certification properly and correctly, how the production process goes according to procedures so that it can be said to be halal, preparing documents to receive halal certification, also related to how to improve the economy and accounting of Islamic boarding schools”, he concluded.
