In conjunction with commemorating the Birthday of Pancasila on June 1, the Regent of Siak Alfedri took part in a virtual Pancasila Birthday Commemoration ceremony, in the Zamrud meeting room, Abdi Praja Complex, with the theme Pancasila in United Actions for Advanced Indonesia.
In the 2021 Pancasila Birthday ceremony, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi, acted as the inspector of the ceremony, which was carried out virtually through the Bogor Presidential Palace.
Also present accompanying the Siak Regent at the virtual Pancasila birthday commemoration ceremony, the Siak Police Chief, Assistants, and OPD heads within the Siak Regency Government.
Commemorating and celebrating the birthday of Pancasila every June 1 is a necessity.
“As a big nation, we will not leave history behind, what Bung Karno once called “JAS MERAH”. To honor the services of the nation’s founders and at the same time strengthen our commitment to the state ideology, we commemorate the birth of Pancasila as one of the national feelings of pride,” said Alfredri.
He continued, the commemoration of the birthday of Pancasila on June 1 is not separate from the momentum of the formulation of the “Jakarta Charter” by the “small committee” on June 22 and the ratification of Pancasila in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution by the Preparatory Committee for Indonesian Independence (PPKI) on August 18, 1945. Three important events it is an inseparable unit.
“Thus, we hope that the debate about the birth of Pancasila is no longer needed. What is needed from now on is how we build togetherness and hope to welcome a better national and state life. As positive energy for the nation, Pancasila continues to provide hope for the future, especially in realizing the vision and mission of the Indonesian nation,” he explained.
It takes awareness and understanding to respect each other, cooperate with each other, work together in solving existing problems.
Such conditions can develop through a democratic civic political culture. A political culture that can foster and nurture hope, not a politics that creates fear. We are Indonesia, we are Pancasila, we are confident, optimistic, and hopeful people looking to the future as a developed, just, and prosperous nation.
