In an official statement from the FBI and the US Department of Homeland Security, it is said that the FBI has accused Russia of attempting to break into the US government.
According to the agency, Russia sponsors the activities of hackers who carry out attacks on the cyber systems of regional and municipal authorities.
It is also noted that the main target of cybercriminals is the aviation industry.
Earlier, the US charged six Russians with hacking.
They are accused of being involved in “some of the most destructive cyberattacks in the world”, namely, an attack on Ukraine’s power grid, interference in Georgia, another interference in the French elections, and in connection with the 2018 Olympics.
