Former teacher Jerry Detrick, in his 70s, was arrested on petty hooliganism charges after neighbor Matthew Guyette called emergency services, after noticing a man squatting without pants on his lawn in front of his house.
Investigators said Detrick told a police officer that he just walked by and didn’t defecate on his lawn, but later admitted to wrongdoing.
After he added that it wasn’t the first time he defecated in that yard. Detrick claimed that he did it because he was “Trump’s man” and the neighbors are Democrats who support Joe Biden.
“This leads me to believe that the incident is politically motivated” – the officer wrote in a police report.
Detrick will be charged with petty hooliganism on June 8.
Matthew Guyette shared his joy in social networks: “Finally, they caught a man who has been shitting in our yard for the past ten years.”
A Democrat neighbor also suggested that Detrick had “alcohol problems and possibly mental disabilities”.
