Regent of Siak Alfedri with the Head of the Siak Spatial and Settlement Public Works Agency (PU Tarukim), Ir Irving Kahar M Eng, met with the Director-General of Human Settlements, Ir Diana Kusumastuti in Jakarta.
Alfedri’s presence gave a proposal for the development of clean water for the Tanjung Buton Industrial Estate (KITB) and for several villages in the Sungai Apit sub-district.
“Alhamdulillah, we were well received and given the opportunity to expose our proposal,” said Alfedri.
He explained that the proposal for the development of clean water was submitted for the village of Meng Kapan, Sungai Rawa, Rawa Mekar Jaya and the village of Penyengat.
In addition, in the proposal there is also a proposal for handling slum settlements in the cities of Perawang and Kandis.
“We have an audience with the Director General of Human Settlements of the PUPR Ministry, Mrs. Diana and the Director of the System and Strategy for the Implementation of Settlement Infrastructure at the Ministry of PUPR, Mr. Edward,” he said.
Not only that, on that occasion Alfedri and Irving also submitted a proposal for the construction of an Indoor SPAM in Mempura sub-district.
Considering that the construction of the Indoor SPAM in the Siak sub-district, which is assisted by the center, is already functioning.
Meanwhile, Irving Kahar added that his party had the opportunity to penetrate the protocol of the Director General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR Diana Kusumastuti considering the reputation of the Siak Regency Government in the ministry was very good.
Because all developments from the Ministry of PUPR funds in Siak have gone smoothly and have been beneficial for the community so far. The track record of the Siak Regency Government at the Ministry of PUPR is very good, moreover there is Siak Regency Government’s innovation in the aspect of utilization in almost all developments.
“Yes, I accompanied the Regent in submitting a proposal for the Development of Drinking Water Installations (IPA) for KITB and 4 villages, namely, Rawa Mekar Jaya, Sungai Rawa, Penyengat and Mengapan villages in 2022,” said Irving.
Irving also said that the proposed proposal also included a proposal for the development of regional slum infrastructure for Kandis Kota and Improving the quality of Perawang urban slum settlements in 2022.
“In detail, the proposal was discussed with the Director of the System and Strategy for the Implementation of residential infrastructure at the Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of PUPR RI,” he said.
Irving said that his party was very confident that the PUPR Ministry would approve the proposal because the data in the proposal was complete. Then the track record of the Siak Regency Government in the field of infrastructure and irrigation is very good.
“God willing, all developments from the central budget for infrastructure and irrigation have been carried out well. Hopefully, the proposal that we submitted for the development in 2022 will be accepted by the Ministry of PUPR,” said Irving.
He continued, this proposal was submitted considering the desire of the Siak Regent Alfedri to solve the problem of clean water in KITB and 4 villages in Sungai Apit sub-district. This facility is also closely related to attracting investors to enter KITB.
“At this time, KITB does not have an adequate source of clean water. This is an investment for development in the future economic resource loci of Siak district,” he said.
In addition, said Irving, Alfedri also wants to complete the arrangement of slum areas into environmentally friendly and clean areas in densely populated areas, namely in Perawang and Kandis Kota.
“These plans need to be jointly supported so that many developments are carried out with the central budget in Siak district,” he said.
