Deputy Regent of Siak Husni Merza received a visit from the assessment team for the village and sub-district competitions at the Riau Province level in 2021, in conjunction with the 2021 Riau Province Village/Village Competition Assessment, at the Muara Kelantan Village Office Hall, Sungai Mandau District.
The evaluation team for the Village/Kampung competition from Riau Province was led directly by the Head of the Assessment Team who was also the Head of the Office of Community Empowerment, Village, Population and Civil Registry of Riau Province, Yurnalis.
Kampung Muara Kelantan itself is one of two villages/villages that represent Siak Regency in this year’s Village/Kampung competition. One other village is Sungai Apit Village in Sungai Apit District.
“This is a motivation for other villages in Siak Regency to be more enthusiastic in working, and to increase development in their respective villages so that they can become more independent villages by developing existing potentials,” said Husni Merza when delivering his speech.
Husni then expressed his appreciation for the various innovations that were successfully developed in Muara Kelantan Village.
“I really appreciate the innovations that have been successfully developed by Mr. Amir and his staff, so that this year Muara Kelantan Village has succeeded in representing Siak Regency with Sungai Apit Village in the Riau Province Village/Village Competition. This is also the result of what Mr. Yurinalis when he was still the head of the Siak PMK Service several years ago,” said Husni, greeted by applause from the audience.
Husni also hopes that Kampung Muara Kelantan can become a champion and be able to appear at the national level to make Siak Regency proud.
Meanwhile, the head of the Yurnalis assessment team in his speech said that the village and village competition assessment was a follow-up to the evaluation of the development of villages and villages in order to maximize every existing potential.
The former Head of the Village Community Empowerment Service of Siak Regency also added that the village that won 1st place in the three main categories assessed in this competition would represent Riau Province at the national level.
“The assessment categories are divided into 3, namely the Government Sector, Empowerment Sector, and Community Sector”, explained Yurnalis.
Meanwhile, the Head of Muara Kelantan, Amir Mahmud in the same place, shared the innovations he had developed so that Muara Kelantan Village succeeded in representing Siak Regency at the Riau Province level this year.
“We have innovations in the field of information systems such as the installation of internet/wifi networks that really support the teaching and learning process of our school children, where we know that during this pandemic, our school children learn from home,” explained Amir.
Meanwhile, innovation in the fields of government, religion, innovation in the field of services, innovation in the field of national economic recovery at the village level also did not escape Amir’s attention.
“Innovation in the field of national economic recovery at the village level is one of the innovations in the economic field, such as we have succeeded in creating a palm seed grinder that greatly facilitates oil palm farmers in our village. We are also developing innovation in the field of security and order in collaboration with Mr. Bhabinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas”, he explained.
Amir Mahmud also explained that his party was rushing the development of agro-tourism which was delayed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He believes that the program is one of the driving forces for improving the economy of the community and MSMEs in his village.
