The Regent of Siak, Alfedri inaugurated the Biomolecular Laboratory of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Type D Perawang, for the Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) examination.
The inauguration was marked by a ribbon-cutting.
“The Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is not only for the Tualang community but for the entire community of Siak Regency,” explained Alfedri.
In addition, he continued, if possible this labor could also be used for residents of the Bengkalis district and the Meranti Islands.
He said, with the increase in the number of laboratories for Covid-19 examinations in Siak, it is hoped that the capacity and speed of testing will increase.
Thus, it can affect the increase in tracing and treatment in breaking the chain of transmission of Covid-19.
“Hopefully this laboratory service can run smoothly. Besides, its capacity will increase in the future,” he hoped.
In the same place, the Head of Health Office, Tonny Chandra, explained that the existence of this laboratory was to increase the health support services provided by the hospital for residents. Especially in the fight against Covid-19.
Tonny conveyed that biomolecular labor is the provision of Covid-19 examination services using the PCR, Isothermal and molecular rapid tests methods, accelerating the results of the examination of samples of patients confirmed positive for Covid-19.
Then he continued, accelerating the diagnosis of the disease course of Covid-19 patients, and shortening patient treatment time, and making efficient use of hospital resources.
On that occasion, Alfedri launched the Issuance of Family Card, Record, and Print of Electronic ID Cards in the Tualang District.
This was followed by a review of the Office of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) and seeing the process of recording the Identity Card (KTP).
Also present were the Siak Police Chief, Deputy, and Members of the Siak Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), the Director of Tengku Rafian Hospital, the Tualang Sub-district Head, the Head of the Occupational and Civil Registry Office.
