Commission III of the Regional Representative Council of Riau Province received a working visit from Commission II of the Regional House Representatives Council of Indragiri Hulu (Inhu) Regency, to discussed the issue of Indragiri Hulu’s Original Regional Revenue (PAD), which did not increase, even though there were many companies there.
The group was greeted by the Chairman of Commission III of the Riau Regional House of Representatives, Husaimi Hamidi, Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in the Commission III Meeting Room, Commission II of the Indragiri Hulu Regional House of Representatives, which was attended by the Chairman of the Commission, Dodi Irawan.
Dodi Irawan was accompanied by Secretary of Commission II Alex, and members of Commission II, Ninik Mulyani, Mulya Eka Saputra, Rosman Yatim, and Syahrial.
Chairman of Commission II of the Indragiri Hulu Regional People’s Representative Council, Dodi Irawan, explained that the Indragiri Hulu Regional Original Income did not increase even though there were more companies in the area, so input was needed so that the Regional Original Income could increase.
Responding to this, Husaimi said Commission III of the Riau Regional House of Representatives has a strategy to increase Regional Original Income such as by initiating taxes.
For vehicle taxes, Riau Province brings tax payments closer to the community.
“The regent/mayor has almost ignored the PBB tax, even though it is important and can be discussed with Regional Revenue Agency. And also the government of Riau Province is also working on an anchoring tax, where ships parked under certain conditions must pay taxes,” he said.
