The Regent of Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Regency, HM Wardan, demanded the professionalism of the competency test organizing committee for the Village Head Candidates.
This was conveyed on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at the Engku Kelana Building, Tembilahan by the Regent while reviewing the competency test for prospective Village Head Candidates for the Simultaneous Pilkades which will be held on October 22, 2021.
In this review, the Regent was accompanied by the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare of the Regional Secretariat of Indragiri Hilir Regency, H Tantawi Jauhari, and the Head of the Indragiri Hilir Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service, Budi N Pamungkas.
According to the Regent, in the implementation of this competency test, the committee must always prioritize the objectivity of the assessment of the participants’ test results as a form of professionalism.
“It is hoped that the Pilkades committee will work professionally, so as to produce Village Head candidates who really have the ability to run the wheels of government in the village,” said the Regent after conducting a review in the first session of the competency test.
The Regent said that the results of the competency test would reflect the knowledge, abilities, and insights as well as the feasibility of the prospective village head.
“There, it will be seen which one is feasible in terms of competence and is able to run the wheels of good village governance and carry out long-term development in their respective villages later,” said the Regent.
Furthermore, the Regent advised the competency test participants to be careful and remain calm in taking the exam so that the results obtained would be maximal. He also hopes that the implementation of the competency test for prospective village head candidates can run smoothly until the end.
“Don’t be in a hurry. Research the questions and answers first. I also hope that this exam can run smoothly until the end,” concluded the Regent.
In addition to the Regent, Deputy Regent of Indragiri Hilir Regency, H Syamsuddin Uti also reviewed the implementation of the competency test for the prospective village head. The Deputy Regent reviewed the implementation of the competency test in the second session.
The competency test for the Village Head Candidates is scheduled to last for 3 (three) days until 15 July. On the first day of the competency test, these 306 village head candidates underwent a written test which was divided into 2 (two) sessions, each of which was attended by 156 people in the first session and 150 village head candidates in the second session.
On the second and third day of implementation, the competency test participants from 96 villages in 19 sub-districts throughout Indragiri Hilir Regency are scheduled to take exams in the form of interview tests, speeches, and read Qur’an.
